Interview & FestivalMay 14, 2008
Sorry I'm always a little late on news. I tend to update after the events are over and passed. =p
Anyway,
I did a few interviews at the New York Comic Con few weeks ago, and HERE is the very first podcast I did, with Charlito from the Indie Spinner Rack. (It starts at about 2/3 through the mp3.) It was fun talk!
Two weeks ago I also attended the Manga Fest at the Elizabeth Library in New Jersey with Misako (who really rocks!!! by the way) and Janna Morishima from Diamond Kids Group and Ali Kokmen from Del Rey.

I did a Manga workshop with Misako. The teens were all so into drawing and most of them did very well. Then Misako showed us photos of her life in Japan and talked about the culture. There were panels on discussing comic as career. It was a very fun afternoon. Thanks to Kimberly Paone from the library and Janna for making it happen.

Recap: Kids Comic Con / Folger Shakespeare Library TalkApril 10, 2008
I had a great time @ the Kids Comic Con two weeks ago.

I've been working with children for about eight years, and it's very delightful & encouraging to see how they get into art/comics these days. The New York Comic Con is next week weekend (I will be there! Will you?) They have a Kids Day! It will be another blast!

On March 31, my writer Adam Sexton and I had the honor to speak at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC about our Shakespeare manga books. We walked the audience through the process of adapting Shakespeare plays into manga, and had a book signing afterward in their unique exhibition hall with candles and cocktails and such. It was an incredible experience. Thanks to Amy & Susie from Wiley and Teri from the Folger Library for planning the event. For more photos, go here.
Next stop: New York Comic Con !!!

Updates to yalilin.comApril 4, 2008
So...I finally uploaded artworks that I've created in the past one year to the Illustrations and Sketches section. Also, my latest short manga - "Next to You" is finally up under Comics. Go read if you haven't yet. (Keep in mind, it reads from Right to Left)
Since Shakespeare Manga : Romeo & Juliet is out in the world now, there had been some interviews and reviews. They are under the News section to the right.... there.
Updates on recent events coming up...

new Year new News!February 7, 2008
First of all, Happy Lunar New Year!! It's my year!! the RAT!

A few announcements:

Wiley's Shakespeare Manga books are officially available to the world. So hurry and get your copies on Amazon.com or any Barnes & Noble bookstores around you! They are in the Shakespeare section, not the manga section. For your convenience, you can order them here:
Hamlet by Tintin
Julius Caesar by Hyeondo
Macbeth by Eve & Candice
Romeo & Juliet by meeee
HOWEVER, if you do buy my book, you might notice that my bio is completely wrong, except my name! ^^;; It's somehow misplaced with Eve's (Macbeth) bio. It will be fixed in the second printing. Too bad for that. >_< Hope y'all do enjoy the read!
